"Baby Aurora - Friendship" from The East Wind

It's  the first of the month, so that means FREEBIE time with The East Wind's newsletter! "Baby Aurora - Friendship" immediately had a few different ideas pop to my mind as soon as I saw it! I have made 2 out of my 3 ideas so far and will make the other at another time. So for today, I'm sharing these two cards...

And one of the cropped versions that came to mind. I kept this one pretty gender - neutral...

Lucy Loo - Love letter II for The East Wind

Today I'm sharing with you my card using the gorgeous "Lucy Loo - Love letter II" from The East Wind. Sha has been coloured with Copics and the background done with Distress Ink. For this piece I actually burnt the paper instead of creating a burnt look for authenticity since there are candles in the image. This card was made for this month's Facebook challenge "Not now...I'm reading". You should drop in and see the absolutely amazing pieces the design team have come up with for this!

Copics used :
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13 and E21 (lips:C3, and C5)

Eyes: B05 and B05
Dress: C0, C1, C3, C5, C7 and 100
Cat: C3, C5 and C7
Candles and candelabra: C3, C5, C7 and 100. Y00, Y11, Y15, Y17, Y28 and YR23

First post for the Corrosive Challenge blog!

Today is my first post for the Corrosive Challenge blog design team.  This amazing international team is going to be bringing you some gorgeous inspiration pieces over the coming year!

This month the theme is New Year's Resolution.  I have to admit,  I haven't made a New Year's resolution in many many years...honestly,  I never stick with it longer than a month anyway! So I chose a quote that still fit with the theme and is not only fitting as a New Year's resolutions, but is some wise words to live by every day.

For this challenge, I used this image called Cameo fae from one of our two sponsors, Morgan's Art World.  This image has been coloured completely with Copics and a few spots of my Molotow white paint pen.

Along with Morgan's Art World, our other sponsor for this month is Annie's Cards and digis.  Just click the links below to visit each shop.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the other designer's makes by visiting the Corrosive Challenge blog.

Dancing with Polar Bear

2016 has started off with an AMAZING freebie from The East Wind! Dancing with Polar Bear is the free image with this month's newsletter. It instantly brought about inspiration for me that tested my colouring ability! I was determined to colour and Aurora Borealis in a snowy scene for this digi. I don't think it came out too bad, even if I say so myself! For the Birch trees I used an image that came with the only online class I have done (and only the second Copic class all together). The class this came with is the Mali class from Kit and Clowder.

Copics used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, and E21
Hair: E41 and E43
Coat and boots: E33, E35, and E37
Skirt: BG13, BG15 and BG18
Polar Bear: E50, E51 and E53
Snow: C03, C02 and C0
Sky: B91, B95, B97 and B99
Aurora Borealis: G000, G00, G02, V01 and V04
Trees: E21, E41, E44 and C0

Exciting news

At the end of last year, I received a lovely message from Ana Isabel from The Corrosive Challenge Blog. She invited me to be a designer for this wonderful blog for 2016. Each month is sponsored by a different company and I look forward to the challenge as well as the inspiration I hope to achieve. My first card will be released in just a few days! Please pop on over to the CCBlog and show your love to all the new designers from around the World.
