"Jackie" form Tiddly Inks

One of my latest orders from my Little cottage bussiness was for an Egyptian themed A4 colouring. So I went searching for a few different stamps for my customer to choose from, and she decided on "Jackie" from Tiddly Inks. For this piece I went with a bit of mixed media instead of just Copics...for two reasons. First being that a completely inked A4 sheet would used a horrendous amount of ink that I just don't charge enough for, and secondly I didn't have refills for my sky colours! For this piece I used "Chipped Sapphire" and "Stormy Sky" distress ink for the sky and "Vintage Photo" for the sand. "Squeezed Lemonade" was used for the moon glow and a little white acrylic paint was used where the brightest moonlight glow would be as well as the brighter stars and clouds. The faint stars were added with a light spray of water. "Jackie" was coloured with Copics as was the Pyramids and features in the sand,

Exciting news!

O.M.G! *squeal*

When I first started my blog not long ago, I mentioned I only have a few real favourite stamping companies that are my "go to" brands. It wasn't long after I started this blog, I became a design team member for one of these brands, Slinky♥Tart. It is truly an amazing team and I am honored to be a part of it!

Now to my amazement and excitement, I have been asked to join the Instagram Design Team for one of my other favourite brands!!! The East Wind is another brand that I just love love love because Unky's stamps have variety and spice, sex appeal and sass and there is that bit of "difference" that I am drawn to! I seriously like things a bit left of center 99% of the time and that is offered with The East Wind.

You can find The East Wind stamps here HERE

You can follow The East wind Blog HERE

And you can follow me on Instagram HERE

Here is one of The East Wind images that I coloured the week before last, but yet to put on a card!

And this is one of my favourite TEW images that I have coloured!

And One that I love that is a little "different" ;)

Inspiration piece #5 for Slinky♥Tart

I just have to say how much I love being on the design team for Tamara at Slinky♥Tart. Not only are her images to my taste, but the team as a whole are amazing women that I can fit in with! I am still pretty chuffed at being a part of this team!

This week for my inspiration piece for the Slinky Blog I decided to step my ante up a bit by making my first side step card! the first one I made was too small for the image I had coloured, so I needed to go up to an A4 size starting piece of card. I followed the directions from Card Making Magic and trimmed off around 2cm after adding the Kaiser stamp.,,,simply because this stamp didn't fill the space as I had wanted!

For this card, I have used We like it dirty from Slinky♥Tart, the beach scene from Kaisercraft and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up "Congrats" collection. I coloured with the below Copics, but I also used my white paint pen (to paint the clouds), Twinkling H20 (background being the Slinky), Glossy Accents (on the VW window and on the water out of the hose) and I also used my "Snow Pen" to create a 3D effect with the suds and sea foam.
